Back to School

Inspired by the Back to School spirit. I love horses, and this would of course include unicorns. 😁 I adore this stamp and couldn’t resist coloring Rosie in a Catholic school plaid dress. Yes, the same plaid I wore many a day ago. My Rosie is almost always blond and Bernie is usually white. The school girl wouldn’t be complete without being in front of a little red school house.

Rosie and Bernie

I simply cannot get enough of Rosie and Bernie from Stamping Bella. These two are entirely too cute. Who doesn’t love a little girl and a pony?? Or their unicorn. This card was inspired by my daughter, her horse , and her trainer. The horse community often calls finding the perfect horse as finding the unicorn. And this is how my daughter feels about her horse. This card is a thank you to her trainer for all the time and hard work it took in finding him and helping the two of them grow together. Oh yeah, back to crafting. <grin>. The card was fairly simple. A single stamp in the middle. Masking and lots of copic coloring. The silver is a silver metallic watercolor for the unicorn. Happy crafting, and riding, y’all!

Christmas In July

My first Christmas card of the year! Yeah!!! This is a clean and simple card inspired by the AAA Clean and Simple Card Challenge #144. The challenge was a maximal white space with a Christmas theme. White embossing of some simple Christmas trees is the base for this card. Then a little sentiment and a few snowflakes to complete it. If you are looking for an easy and fast card to make for the masses for Christmas this year, this is a great option!

Cheers

I love following artists on youTube! They are so creative and generous with their skills!! One of my favorites is Antonia Florence and Taffelberry Lane. Her ability inspired this card. Antonia will stamp a few images and then use Copic markers to create the remainder of the scene. Many of her cards are a single stamped image. She is extremely creative and imaginative. So, when I saw this stamp of Rosie and Bernie at the beach, I knew exactly how I wanted to use it. THANK YOU ANTONIA! If you are unfamiliar with Rosie and Bernie, they are a stamp series by Stamping Bella. My Rosie is usually colored with bond hair as a nod to one of my daughters who loves unicorns. 😊 The materials used were a the single stamp I’ve already linked, Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils. Honestly, the best tutorial for this card is to go watch Antonia work. Most of the coloring is with Copic markers; however, for some of the smaller items, I used some Prismacolor pencils. The pencils were used for Rosie’s shoes, Bernie’s drink, the straws and the black on Rosie’s sun glasses. The white highlights were drawn with a white Uniball gel pen. Enjoy her channel! Cheers!

Embossing Fun

I love the way embossing looks! The slightly raised texture and the sparkle. What’s not to like? Right? The teal rose background is a large stamp from Stampabilities. Some good Versamark embossing Ink and WOW embossing powder created the background. Art Impressions stamp and some prismacolor pencils for the cute doggie. And, voilà  a simple card. Too much color to say: clean and simple. But simple nontheless. I could not find the Stampabilities background stamp I used. However, I did find a comparable stamp at Simon Says Stamp by Impression Obsession that is comparable.
