A Little Casual Style

Anytime I think of the ultimate fashionista, I always think of two people Coco Chanel and Audrey Hepburn. My favorite is Ms. Hepburn. She was the epitome of graceful elegance. The other thing I think of when I think of fashion is….. Paris! Of course!!! So, I paired the two for the “Less is More” fashion challenge. The card has a simple ink blended background with Tim Holtz’s Paris backdrop. Audrey’s sentiment came from The Ton and my young fashionista, who is casually strolling the streets of Paris, is from Stampabilities.

Have a fashionable day, y’all!

Sending Warm Wishes

Hello Everyone! I’m playing along with the great group over at Fusion Card Challenge. I used both the sketch and the photo. My color palate is black, white and red similar to the photo. The little girl is from a retired set from Craftin’ Desert Divas. The black gingham frame and “stripes” are from the table cloth in the photo. The little girl is holding a mug filled with hot cocoa. The sentiment is white embossed on black inspired by the chalk board. I hope like it!

Good night, y’all!

A Thought of Summer Birthdays

Hello and Happy Sunday! I am starting the week out with a challenge from AAA Cards today. This is truly a clean and simple card. I used an embossing folder from my stash to emboss the center field of flowers and butterflies. I then added the ladybug and sentiment with Lillac Ink from Hero Arts. The ladybug is from a Hero Arts set and the sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.

Enjoy your week, y’all!

So Happy

Yeah! The first challenge of 2021 from A Color Throwdown!!! The background is a wood grain layered stamp from Gina K. I used Walnut Stain Distressed Ink as the first layer. I then used Versamark ink and Copper Perfect Pearls for the second layer. I set the Perfect Pearls with a ModPoge Spray. The sentiment is from a Stampin’ Up set that was heat embossed with Rangers Vintage Pearl. The floral pieces are die cut from ivory card stock (it looks a bit white in my photo) using Tim Holtz dies. The wreath is from Tonic Studios “Under the Mistletoe”.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

Growing Up is Optional

What a great day to wake up to one of my favorite Youtubers with such a fun card, and I hint at a new challenge. It was for certain a marvelous Monday morning. So, my inspiration is 100% by Maaike Uijthoven’s card from Youtube. Her entire tone last year of use, don’t horde reminded me of a set of stamps and stencils from Kindred Stamps that I have not yet used. I found some craft cardstock and inked the edges lightly with Vintage Photo Distressed Ink and then used the same ink on the stencil and the map for my background. I then did crazy simple Copic coloring of Peter. The sentiment is from the same stamp set and is stamped in Distressed Oxide Forest Moss. Ok folks. This is about as clean and simple as I get. I hope you enjoy it!

Happy New Monday! New Week! New Year! Y’all

Honored and Thankful

I didn’t have time to share over the holidays. I was busy making cards. But a few of my cards were winners at different challenges. I am so very thankful for the challenges and the people who run them. I look forward to all my sidebar listed challenges this year!

A Girl in Paris

Happy New Year ! This card is a combination of the Ton background with Stampabilities’ Runway. I received the Runway set as a Christmas gift and new exactly which background to pair it with. The background was stamped in Ink on 3 disappearing ink on Arches cold press watercolor. I used watercolor paint I had on hand. I “inkblended” the trees and the street. I used a sponge and some gauche paint to add a few clouds. After it dried, I stamped again with Versafine onxy black ink. The model was stamped with Versafine black ink as well. I then used some Crayola watercolor pencils for her dress and skin with a waterbrush. She is then positioned in Paris using some foam tape.

Have a Fantastic weekend, y’all!
