Inspired by an Artist. How much fun is this challenge?! Oh dearie me…..so many artists to choose from. But, one stands out…. George Rodrigue and his Blue Dog, Tiffany. What better dog to use than one from Tim Holtz. The dog is stamped in Ink on 3 disappearing ink and colored in copic markers (B24, B26,B29,Y13,N100,C7); he is then die cut and mounted on the background with foam tape. The background was stamped with a Hero Arts cloud stamp using Worn Lipstick and Versamark ink to allow clear embossing. Then a little bit of Tumbled Glass ink over the clouds. The bottom third is Broken China along with Blueprint Sketch. A little yellow gel pen halo around the bottom half of Tiffany to add some detail. And a frame in pink embossed with paw prints.
Here’s the original.

“There is nothing truer in this world than the love of a dog.”.
You certainly have nailed this photo challenge. Such a perfect stamp and I just adore the small puffy clouds in the background as well. Thanks for playing along at The Paper Players.

Definitely a fun card, and you nailed the inspiration artwork perfectly! I cannot say I have ever seen that artist’s work, but I love his use of color! Thanks so much for playing with my Tic Tac Toe grid this week at the Players!
