Good evening dog lovers? Who was good person today? LOL This card was made for an especially kind veterinarian. I went to my stash looking for dog stamps to find Tim Holt’s Crazy Dogs. I love his crazy animal stamps, they are just too adorable. Lawn Fawn’s rectangles helped die cut and emboss. A little ink blending with Ranger’s Aquamarine Archival ink gave the simple background I was looking for. Given the simplicity of the card, I wanted the envelope to have more color. My goal was for the card to have a “tailored” look with just a hint of whimsy. Do you think I was successful? Let me know.

Hello, Crafters! I am starting this week with a little Halloween card inspired by Two Old Bats Halloween challenge; I love the colors on the inspiration board this month. I paired a Tim Holtz stamp set(Haloween Cutouts) with a Visible Image set(Into the woods).. I used Bristol smooth cardstock as I find Distressed Oxides to blend the best on this paper. The oxides I used were: Pine Needles, Cracked Pistachio, Twisted Citron, Squeezed Lemonade, Fossilized Amber, Carved Pumpkin, Hickory Smoke, Black Soot, and Tumbled Glass. The moon is White Gesso that I dried with an embossing gun to get it to bubble to create the moon’s craters. Some details were added with gold, white and orange gel pens along with some white and grey pastel pencils.

Halloween is an opportunity to be really creative!

I made this card for a very special person in my world. She has show a tremendous amount of kindness and compassion to my family that I had to make something for her. This was the result. I used BB Magical Unicorns, Copic Colors and Distressed Oxide. Very simple, but so much fun to make.

Good evening Tim Holtz fans! Here is my 2021 Easter creation(s)…… I was in need of some money card holders for a group of guys that have been helping me. I suppose, I could just hand them the cold hard cash? NAH! No fun or creativity there. 🤣 I recently watched a YouTube video by Monique Van dijk. She made this technique look so easy and fun, I just had to try it. For the above, I used distressed oxide Vintage Photo and Aged Mahogany. The background was Architecture CMS369 stamped randomly using Versafine Onyx black ink. My little birdy is a Crazy Bird turned into a bunny with a pair of ears from Things/Talk. My sentiment is from my stash and embossed in Emerald Creeks’ Wine powder. A little creative paper folding and you have a money holder. I had five men to thank, so there are five combos below. I’d love to hear which is your favorite!? Happy Easter!!

Happy Sunday, crafters and card makers! It’s been a crazy week here, but I have finally put a clean and simple card together to share. Rainy days remind me of London, so I just had to use the London skyline stamp by Tim Holtz. My umbrella carrying girl is from MayMayMadeIt and stamped in Memento London Fog ink. Colored pencils were used to enhance the background, add reflection and add a little color to the foreground. The sentiment by Craftin’ Desert Divas is stamped in Versafine Onyx Black ink. Although difficult to see, there are clear Nuvo Jewel Drop “raindrops” to add a little sparkle.

Even on a rainy day, you can be someone’s sunshine.

Mahalo, Double D Challenges for a beautiful inspiration board! Who doesn’t love to look at and enjoy a beautiful sky?! My scene is a marriage of Tim Holtz’s vellum and Hero Art’s March kit. I love this colorful, serene sunset; it was just calling me to use it as a Hawaiian setting. I tried something a little different with my ukulele player, the use of tan paper as a base for coloring with pencils. Mahalo is simple embossing with Emerald Arts Aroma Chocolate Dream. Nanea!

Thank you LawnFawnatics for the opportunity to walk down memory lane through your current challenge. I used Lawn Fawn’s Gleeful Gardens, Village Heros, and Claire’s ABCs. A few Copic colors (Y32, BG72) and you have a book cover.

¡Feliz miércoles! Bienvenidos artesanos.I have a fun and festive card this morning inspired by Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge. Their picture reminded me of the Disney movie Coco. I have the Day of the Dead stamp set from Kindred stamps and went to work. The background is Distressed Oxide inks (Carved Pumpkin and Fossilized Amber) with a Newton’s Nook Bokah stencil on Bristol cardstock. I added some splatter paint in brown and black. I stamped Hector with Versamark Onyx black ink and embossed in clear Ranger embossing powder. Hola is stamped in Versamark embossing ink and Ranger White embossing powder. I added glossy accents to the skull balloon.
