Give Credit Where Credit is Blue

“If you see a tree as blue, then make it blue.” Paul Gauguin

This card is 100% Tim Holtz-inspired. This is a background that was in my “stash.” I made this background about two months ago when my splat-box and I were spending quality time together; I had just received the Christmas Mica Sprays and had to play. I found it last night and thought what a lovely background for the embossing technique demonstrated on yesterday’s YouTube Live. The stencil is by Rebekah Meier Designs for TheCraftersWorkshop. I used the grit paste and then “sprinkled” the various embossing glazes/embossing powder over the paste. I allowed it to dry for 30 minutes and heat embossed it. Pretty simple. But WOW! Such a fabulous result. Given that my stencil had some good detail, I decided to just frame and mount it as-is on the card. I even “borrowed” the layout for my photo from Tim’s blog. 🤭 Enjoy your Sunday!!

“Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue, and the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true.” Judy Garland
