It’s spring and the horses are ready. “Here we come Churchill Downs!” Rosemary and her filly Include Betty are ready!
For the pony obsessed, I present this sweet card

The paper is from Stamperia Romantic Horses and vellum I had in the stash. The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted Unicorns and stamped with Versamark Clair Morning Mist. The white and rose pink cardstock is from the stash as well. The technique for this card comes from a Stampin Up youtube video by Rachael Tessman; fast forward to 6:03 for the technique of the video to start.
This card was inspired by the Double Trouble Challenge. Thing One requests a card to be spring-related; I could think of nothing more “Spring-y” than the Kentucky Derby. I received this paper as part of my Christmas gift last year and thought these sweet flowers fit the Spring vibe well. Thing 2 is desiring a “fun-fold” card. I stumbled across this fun-fold card layout by Rachael Tessman and had to recreate it for my DD14 whose 15th b-day will be in just a few short weeks. She loves horses and this girl and pony from the ephemera pack by Stamperia I thought was perfect. A little velvet Ribbon from Tim Holtz, gives it a finishing touch.
Such a delightful card, Makira! I love that you used vellum so effectively to work with your fun fold. Such sweet papers – and the velvet ribbon is the perfect touch. Thank you for joining us as our February 2022 Crazy Cousin.
