See Possibility Everywhere

Hello everyone! It’s such a pleasure to be here today. I’m excited to share a card with you that’s sure to bring a smile to your face. With Rosie & Bernie leading the way, this whimsical card is a true work of art. Inspired by the talented AmyR at Prarie Paper & Ink, I just had to give it a try. The endless possibilities of this card style are truly amazing. I’ve been wanting to make one for a while now, but with the holidays, time got away from me. This morning, I finally had a moment to bring my vision to life and I’m so happy with the result. I also added some elements from yesterday’s Craft Roulette to give it that extra special touch. Thank you for letting me share my creation with you.

Happy Holiday Season

Hello, everyone! I hope you’re having a great Sunday. I’ve been admiring the beautiful cards that people are creating with the Waffleflower postage collage die set. Unfortunately, I don’t have that set, but I’m determined to work with what I have. As they say, “You have what you have, and don’t throw a fit.” So, I’m looking forward to doing some crafting today with the supplies I have on hand.

I followed a two-step process to create my stamps. Firstly, I used a trimmer to cut the stamps to the desired size. Next, I used a pair of precision thinning scissors to create the unique stamp edges. It’s a timeless technique that perfectly captures the desired aesthetic.

I tapped the stamps onto my stamping platform and selected various TH stamps from my collection. Most of the images were from Stampers Anonymous’ Holiday Postmarks CMS323. I used Distress Oxide Inks in Lumberjack Red, Rustic Wilderness, Stormy Sky, and Ground Espresso, followed by Archival Ink in Black Soot. After that, I cut a postage background in red and assembled it onto a white card base.

Enjoy!

An Autumn Skyline

Hello, fellow crafters! Wishing you all a delightful Friday evening. I had the pleasure of creating a Clean and Simple (CAS) card tonightโ€”well, CAS according to my own standards. As part of tonight’s creative challenge, I decided to draw inspiration from the vibrant colors of a dinner table setting. Navigating through Sara Ranea Clark’s color box, here’s the captivating palette that caught my eye.

Why not indulge in a breakfast-themed supper? I adore the blend of the middle three colors. First, I masked off the center of the cardstock and inked it with Picked Raspberry edging it with Aged Mahogany. The inky center was adorned with splatters of Antique Bronze Mica spray, adding a touch of vintage elegance.

The skyline took shape through the application of white embossing powder, creating a striking contrast against the rich hues. For the sentiment, I opted for the warmth of Ancient Amber embossing powder from Emerald Creek, lending a touch of antiquity to the piece. Interestingly, it seems I’m without a traditional bronze embossing powder in my collection, but the substitution with Ancient Amber seems to be a good substitution.

I then just layered it with some coordinating cardstock. Enjoy!

Hello, Gents

Hello Crafting Crew! Happy Sunday Funday to all my fellow artisans out there! Spent my morning immersed in the world of ink and paint, inspired by the incredible artists on YouTube. Today’s experiment led me to create a three-paneled background on a z-fold slim line card, measuring a cozy 3.5″x 8.5″. Each art panel is a neat 0.25″ smaller, allowing for a contrasting border.

After carefully cutting the panels, I secured them to my trusty craft mat and began playing with my TH Distress Oxide inks. The color palette du jour featured Spun Sugar, Salvaged Patina, Salty Ocean, Kitsch Flamingo, Cracked Pistachio, Mustard Seed, Black Soot, and Picket Fence. The inks did not allow for all the effects I was trying to achieve and I had to enlist the help of Distress Paint for additional layers. Some panels were masked off with precision using masking tape, while others were freehand strokes. Various TH stencils played a supporting role both in ink and paint.

Once the layers were complete I added some TH gents in black cardstock and the heartfelt sentiment, “Thinking Of You” from some Salty Ocean gel print done a few years back.

Apologies for the photo qualityโ€”I’m still working on mastering the art of photography & capturing these creations in all their glory. Keep crafting and creating, my friends! ๐ŸŽจโœจ

This card was inspired by episode #189 over at Craft Roulette. This vintage-inspired card was brought to life with Tim Holtz’s timeless products; Holtz is the “H” for this card. Blend layers of Antique Photo, Ground Expresso and Antique Linen for an antique background. Using a host of Holtz’s stamps, stamp the writing in Mustard Seed, the sentiment and car in Ground Expresso, the postage marks in Lumberjack Red and Black Soot. Find a few pieces of cardstock to frame your card and you

Hope you enjoy it! Take care!

Rest & Relax

Happy Labor Day, everyone! It’s now STAMPtember….. woo hoo!

I had to delve into my digital image archive for this particular snapshot. After a long and grueling day at the Conjuring farm, Bethesda was utterly exhausted. The myriad of spells and the multitude of hauntings had taken their toll. She yearned for a moment of respite, a brief escape from the supernatural demands of her life.

And so, here she sits, nestled in her cherished cauldron of shimmering ooze. Beneath the moonlit canopy of ancient trees, she relishes the soothing touch of a gentle breeze, as the radiant full moon graces the night sky. This tranquil moment provides her with the solace she desperately needs, rejuvenating her spirit in the midst of her enchanting world.

Have fun with whatever you are making and enjoy the rest of your weekend

Hugs, Makira
