Happy Wednesday, everyone! I’m thrilled to share a Haunted Mansion-inspired card with you all today. This card has the dimensions of a mini, slim-line card with a few extra folds, giving it a fun fold card feel. The inspiration behind this creation comes from three sources: the iconic Haunted Mansion, Craft Roulette episode 171, and a fantastic card design by Popsiclesticks on Instagram.
Let’s dive into how you can recreate this card base. Start by cutting a piece of paper to 6×10.5 inches. Score it at 3, 4.5, 6, 7.5 and 9 inches. Additionally, cut a second piece measuring 5.25×6 inches and score it at 3 inches. To add a touch of eerie elegance, I adorned all the sides with hauntingly beautiful paper from Whimsy Stamps. For the backgrounds, I opted for black watercolor paper and blended them using pan-pastels, achieving a captivating effect.
The images on the card are from Kindred Stamps, stamped using Memento black ink, and expertly colored with Copics. To convey the perfect sentiments, I used simple die cuts made with Sizzix’s Tim Holtz Classic Alphabet. A little glue to hold everything together, and voila! Your card is complete.
I hope you enjoy this card as much as I enjoyed creating it. Happy crafting, everyone!
