You’re the best

Happy Sunday-Funday Evening, cardmakers and crafters!!! Ok……. It’s October, which means, my world becomes crazy until after the first of the year. Anyone else with this last quarter dilemma?? My daughters have November Harvest Horse shows coming up and there are many people who we give gratuities to during this month. It is so much more fun to hand people a fun envelope with some $$ inside. So, here’s my first set of creations. Juicy Christians Studio is responsible for the inspiration for this envelope; the envelopes she creates are AMAZING!!

Here’s the recipe: Start with some watercolor paper. It’s an envelope; please leave the expensive stuff for the card or artwork. I used watercolor paper that remains in my stash from my girls first grade class. LOL!! Cut to 7 7/8 x 7 7/8 inches and make the first score at 2 3/4 inches (We Are Memory Keepers Envelope Score board). Then cover with the burgundy acrylic paint and allow to dry. Next up.. a Tim Holtz Distress Paint technique using Walnut Stain (view the technique at 1hour 38minutes). Once dry, come back with Distressed Oxide Festive Berries and the stencil shown to add more layers of inky goodness. My pracing pony is cut by Cricut. My sentiment is my own using Lawn Fawn’s Claire’s ABCs and stamped with Versafine Clair Medieval Blue. The prize ribbon is a Hero Arts layered stamp, using Versafine Clair Medieval Blue and Nocturn. Stampersanonymous provides the pony express stamp in the upper right hand corner. The inside of the envelope is painted with Distress Paint Prize Ribbon. Everything is then set with a light coverage of Mod Podge spray. -whew-

Enjoy the Ride!

TGIF!

TGIF! It’s the weekend! What a better way to start the weekend off than with some CAS card making?! This card was inspired by the colors over at The Color Throwdown Challenge. It is simply two colors of cardstock, a die and some craft cord. I didn’t have grey or cream craft cord, but I had white. A little spray down with Distressed Oxide sprays in Pumice Stone and Antique Ivory, and viola… cream and grey craft cord. After finishing, I looked at the card and thought this was a fabulous masculine, thank you card. Thoughts?

May your weekend be as beautiful as your thoughts are!

Meowy Christmas

It’s Christmas Crafting Time!! After watching the new Stampersanonymous video on Youtube, it was impossible to resist Christmas Crafting. I used the Hero Arts set Meowy Christmas and MHA November 2019. My color palate came from the current MFT color challenge. Simple stamping and Copic coloring (BG15,C3,C5) provided my images and the background is Copic Markers (R46,YG63,BG15) and a stencil. It’s hard to see….but the white background has white embossed snowflakes. The tree and cat have Nuvo drops in burgandy and black. “Meowy Christmas” is simple silver embossing.

“It is never too early to start crafting for Christmas.”

Go, See, Explore

Welcome to the weekend, crafters! I have a CAS card this morning. At first glance it may not look CAS…. look again, it is a scene paper from Whimsy stamps. My characters are from a older stamp set by Craftin’ Desert Divas’ Fall Fairies. They were stamped on 80 lb white cardstock with simple Copic coloring mixed with a little Prismacolor pencils. The sentiments are from Tim Holtz’s Tiny Text CMS394 embossed with Emerald Creek’s Aroma Holiday Truffle.

Smile, it’s Saturday!

A Little Twisted

My young friend, Stacy, is new to crafting and in particular, crocheting. She decided to crochet herself a sweater for Christmas this year. Her selfie shows her glamming her mothers shoes and her new outfit. Stacy loves bows as well; she is working on perfecting her look. I think she looks fab! Her silly mother insisted on her meme.

Stacy had a little help from: Twistoon Digi Stamps, Tim Holtz Snarky Cats Christmas, Darci embossing folder, Copic markers, Prismacolor Pencils, Gansai Tambi Starry Colors and a few gel pens.

My thanks to the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!
