Happy Weekend, Crafters and Colorists! I found a new challenge this week, “Double Trouble Paper Crafting”. Their challenge is a combination of music with a zoo animal. What a fabulous way to combine three of my favorite hobbies: Disney, coloring and crafting. Gazelle from Disney’s Zootopia was a perfect match for this challenge. I imported an SVG of Gazelle to Cricut and added the notes background from stock images. Gazelle was printed and the notes were foiled using the Cricut. Gazelle was colored using Black Widow and Prismacolor pencils. The coloring was inspired by Lisa Mitrokhin’s art. You can check out her art and instruction over at Youtube: Lisa Mitrokhin.

Hello Crafters! Today I’d like to share a card inspired by The Card Concept and Tim Holtz. I have always loved all the layers Tim Holtz uses; however, I’ve always been to “scared” it would look bad and wouldn’t give it a try. So, I gave it a go for this freestyle-collage card. I started with craft colored card stock. I used aged mahogany Distressed Oxide on a gel place and a globe stamp and lifted the first layer. I then stamped the globe stamp with ground expresso Distressed Ink. I used a stencil from my stash for the leaves using a blending brush and forest moss Distressed Oxide. The travel stamps were various stamps from Tim Holtz’s kits that were stamped in black Versafine Onxy Black ink. The sentiment was from a Craftin’ Dessert Diva’s set embossed with Vintage White. I figure, this would work well for a boy’s graduation card later this spring.

Good morning crafters! The good people over at the Color Throwdown challenge(ctd626) have a color combination of plum, cream and black this week. I’ve been wanting to use Tim Holtz’s Funny Farm. I “Tokidokized” the farm animals to match the backgrounds. The background paper is from Tokidoki. I have some digital backgounds from Tokidoki that I printed on cream paper for my first card. The second card is Tokidoki origami paper. I then used hearts from Lawn Fawn to add some color to the animals and the bow is from Lawn Fawn’s Charge Me Up.

I hope everyone is well. If not, here’s a little kitty who has come to visit your front door. The good people over at CASonFriday have a “FEEL BETTER” challenge this week. I figured there would be many cards for people, but what about our furry friends? They need love too, so off the craft room I went. I have these AI stamps for cats and dogs for “feel better soon” cards. I stamped the kitty in Ink on 3 ink and then masked him with 3M post it tape. I then added the digital background from my printer. I colored this cute kitty with Black Widow and Prismacolor pencils. I had to color the kitty as a Siamese as the eyes are a bit crossed-eyed and I know many Siamese cats are crossed eyed. The sentiment is from the AI stamp set as well. I used Hero Arts Pale Tomato for the sentiment.

Oh what I wouldn’t give to be in DisneyWorld right now eating one of their scrumptious cupcakes! For those familiar with DisneyWorld food, you understand. My inspiration today was Disney aided and abetted by the current Double D Challenge. They have this unicorn cupcake that made me think of magic, which in my mind then goes straight to Disney. I had no Disney cupcake stamps, so off to Etsy I went looking for a digital option. Simple Copic coloring and some jell pen embellishments finished my cupcakes. The background is Distressed Oxide Ink in vintage photo with Memento Rich Cocoa for the stamps. My sentiment is from a Craftin’ Desert Divas set.

Time for a little Kawaii. This little girl is having a fabulous time floating in the clouds with her balloon friends. Kawaii style is very simple coloring and a simple background. The stamp is from a set I found at Michaels and is colored with copic markers. The clouds are from a Hero Arts set that were stamped with Ink on 3 Disappearing ink and colored with white ink from Winsor Newton.

Anytime I think of the ultimate fashionista, I always think of two people Coco Chanel and Audrey Hepburn. My favorite is Ms. Hepburn. She was the epitome of graceful elegance. The other thing I think of when I think of fashion is….. Paris! Of course!!! So, I paired the two for the “Less is More” fashion challenge. The card has a simple ink blended background with Tim Holtz’s Paris backdrop. Audrey’s sentiment came from The Ton and my young fashionista, who is casually strolling the streets of Paris, is from Stampabilities.

Hello Everyone! I’m playing along with the great group over at Fusion Card Challenge. I used both the sketch and the photo. My color palate is black, white and red similar to the photo. The little girl is from a retired set from Craftin’ Desert Divas. The black gingham frame and “stripes” are from the table cloth in the photo. The little girl is holding a mug filled with hot cocoa. The sentiment is white embossed on black inspired by the chalk board. I hope like it!

Hello and Happy Sunday! I am starting the week out with a challenge from AAA Cards today. This is truly a clean and simple card. I used an embossing folder from my stash to emboss the center field of flowers and butterflies. I then added the ladybug and sentiment with Lillac Ink from Hero Arts. The ladybug is from a Hero Arts set and the sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.

Yeah! The first challenge of 2021 from A Color Throwdown!!! The background is a wood grain layered stamp from Gina K. I used Walnut Stain Distressed Ink as the first layer. I then used Versamark ink and Copper Perfect Pearls for the second layer. I set the Perfect Pearls with a ModPoge Spray. The sentiment is from a Stampin’ Up set that was heat embossed with Rangers Vintage Pearl. The floral pieces are die cut from ivory card stock (it looks a bit white in my photo) using Tim Holtz dies. The wreath is from Tonic Studios “Under the Mistletoe”.
