Passport to SCP

Happy Sunday evening, crafters!

What a wild and crazy week! Hurricane Beryl had his “eye” on us last Monday morning. We just got our power restored yesterday. 😩 I managed to watch Craft Roulette on my phone with the help of a battery charger. Anyway, back to my hobby…

I’ve been busy today pondering and working on Craft Roulette’s episode 223. I had been toying with the idea of a passport card and thought I’d give it a go.

  • Smaller/Larger – The pages of the passport card are smaller and larger
  • Planets – Stars appear white, Venus appears yellow, Space appears black
  • House – Dogs & cats are found in houses, so are IDs, passports and in my house…..plague doctors (very popular plushy).
  • White border – on all the images, all of the pages to the left, and around the CONFIDENTIAL warning on the cover page.

I didn’t use many supplies, just black and white paper with a little help from some Scatter Straw Distress Oxide. I focused on lots of digital image creation, printing, and fussy cutting.

Here are the other images of the card:

Although my crew of DDs were skeptical, they’re now the ones vying to use the card for a friend. They have my ❤️!

Have a great week!!

Colorful Crochet July 2024

Welcome back to another exciting month at the Colorful Options Challenge! 🎨🌈 This month, our creative inspiration comes from the vibrant colors of flags. Choose any flag that speaks to you, and let its colors guide your artistic journey. Whether you’re painting, crafting, or designing, the possibilities are endless.

I chose to do a rainbow entry, which also happens to represent the LGBT pride flag.

My trusty crochet hook and some variegated yarn from Joanns are the supplies for this top. Here’s a look at the back.

Have a great month!

Choose any flag that speaks to you, and let its colors guide your artistic journey. Whether you’re painting, crafting, or designing, the possibilities are endless.

I chose a unique and non-traditional flag for my colors: the vibrant flags from the 2022 season of the Blue Devils Drum & Bugle Corps. While I no longer participate in the drum and bugle corps, these flags bring back many years of happy memories. The colors remind me of those unforgettable moments, and I’m excited to incorporate them into my creative projects this month.

I added some stamping and coloring, helped by Whimsy’s Stamps’ Cat Do Christmas stamp set. The final touches were two gingerbread men (TH-Sizzix Christmas Minis) and a cookie (TH-Sizzix, Christmas Cookies)

Blue Blossom Salad: Notice the red tomatoes, green lettuce, blue flowers/cheese and tan/brown chicken.

Meowy Christmas

Happy Sunday, everyone! I hope you’re enjoying a relaxing weekend. I’m participating in Craft Roulette, episode 218. My base is a Tim Holtz Sizzix tag made from white cardstock, featuring an ink-blended background created with a stencil. I added some stamping and coloring to complete the scene, helped by Hero Art’s Meowy Christmas. A little bit of Glossy Accents was added to the ornaments for a little shine.
