It’s Christmas Crafting Time!! After watching the new Stampersanonymous video on Youtube, it was impossible to resist Christmas Crafting. I used the Hero Arts set Meowy Christmas and MHA November 2019. My color palate came from the current MFT color challenge. Simple stamping and Copic coloring (BG15,C3,C5) provided my images and the background is Copic Markers (R46,YG63,BG15) and a stencil. It’s hard to see….but the white background has white embossed snowflakes. The tree and cat have Nuvo drops in burgandy and black. “Meowy Christmas” is simple silver embossing.
“It is never too early to start crafting for Christmas.”
Welcome to the weekend, crafters! I have a CAS card this morning. At first glance it may not look CAS…. look again, it is a scene paper from Whimsy stamps. My characters are from a older stamp set by Craftin’ Desert Divas’ Fall Fairies. They were stamped on 80 lb white cardstock with simple Copic coloring mixed with a little Prismacolor pencils. The sentiments are from Tim Holtz’s Tiny Text CMS394 embossed with Emerald Creek’s Aroma Holiday Truffle.
My young friend, Stacy, is new to crafting and in particular, crocheting. She decided to crochet herself a sweater for Christmas this year. Her selfie shows her glamming her mothers shoes and her new outfit. Stacy loves bows as well; she is working on perfecting her look. I think she looks fab! Her silly mother insisted on her meme.
Good morning, crafters! I received my first ever Hero Arts subscription box yesterday and couldn’t wait to play with it. This stamp set reminded me of autumn, when I was a young teenager in Wisconsin. Allow me to paint my memory: It’s a early fall day in rural Wisconsin. It is a sunny, late morning, about eighty degrees. You hop on your bike and just start peddling. All you can smell is sweet fresh air and you see nothing but fields of flowers for hours, rarely encountering anyone. Pure peace and beauty. I was hoping to create some peaceful beauty with some inspiration and encouragement.
My tag recipe:
Distress Tags #8 mixed media
Distress Oxide Spray: Old Paper, Mustard Seed
Distress Ink Spray: Rustic Wilderness
Distressed Mica Stain: Bubbling Cauldron
My Monthly Hero Kit September 2021 for the stencil, flowers, inks
Memento Ink: Rhubarb Stalk (sentiment)
Sentiments From Tim Holtz: Nature’s Discover CMS049, Photo Studio CMS013
“Every day may not be good, but there is good in every day.”
Welcome, foolish mortals. I invite you for a treat. It is beginning to look a little inky. It is indeed, Copic color YG21 followed by some distressing delight (Black Soot, Old Paper, Antique Linen) on bistol smooth cardstock. Is this haunted card glowing? or is it your imagination? It appears to be a glow from the spirits of LawnFawn and MissInk. If you decide to join in the fun, arrangements with Madame Leota can be encountered at Kindred Stamps. But I must warn you, should you decide to add the ghostly sentiment, your ghost writer can only be found at Whimsy stamps.
It’s a twofer Tuesday! I used combinations of two for each element in this card. I love the CAS cards that are so very popular. I am NOT the best at making them. The white space is very scary! 🤣 Without further ado, on to my twofers:
Two papers: Bristol smooth card stock, 80lb green card stock
Two Distressed Inks: Old Paper, Bundled Sage
Two stencils: Kindred Stamps
Two stamps: Gina K Design
Two embellishments: Ranger White embossing powder, Nuvo Simply White Drops
Happy Sunday Funday, crafters! I am starting this week off with a CAS card. Max is all dressed up in his Halloween costume and ready to get out and “Get Candy”. He sounds all dog to me.
We don’t dress up our dog for Halloween, just our cat,. Pirate, Captain Andre, is ready for some high seas hijinks this Halloween.
Something Wicked This Way Comes! Nah…. just working on a spooky scene for my mantle. This tombstone was inspired by the makers for Tim Holtz 2021 Sizzix Halloween collection. Most of the Sizzix dies are sold out. So, as always, Cricut to my rescue. All the images (clouds, bats, cat, witch, cauldron, fence, gravestone) were cut from Cricut access. The tombstone was cut out of 3 layers of chip board. Everything else is 80 lb. cardstock. Oh the layers we will add to this little tombstone:
The clouds had some inking with Distress Oxide Ink in Black Soot and Old Paper. The fence was embossed with an embossing daber and Distressed Oxide Walnut Stain Glaze and Emerald Creek’s Rocky Road Baked Texture by Seth Apter. My spider webs (Stampers Anonymous) were embossed on clear acetate with Sticky embossing powder and Rock Candy glitter added. The bubbling cauldron are green beads glued with Apple Sour Glows in the Dark Nuvo Drops.
