Cheers and Aloha! I just love this little penguin from MFT. I am playing along with two challenges: The Paper Players and MFTSketch. A little inking with Distressed Oxide Tumbled glass, Blueprint Sketch and Spiced Marmalade produced my ocean background. BB Penguins in Paradise added the stamped images and BB Polynesian Paradise contributed the sentiment. The penguin’s lei is made from clay embellishments. Copic colors used: C1,C7,C9,100, E55, E57, E59, YG63, YG61, YG10, YR08,YR04, Y13. Some white accents with a white gel pen finished my card.

I’m sharing a little whimsy this morning, Whimsy Stamp’s Super Dogs. He is stamped in VersaFine Clair Medieval Blue and then embossed in clear embossing powder. A little copic coloring brings him to life. The sentiment was made using Cricut. The puppy’s background was made using Ranger White embossing powder and Lawn Fawn’s Meow You Doin’ with an added touch of Distressed Oxide Chipped Sapphire on the edges.

“Life Happens, Crafting Helps”

Welcome back crafters! This card is inspired by the ABC Christmas challenge. This little girl is wearing mistletoe while walking through the snow with her friends. The digital image is from Whimsy stamps and printed on tan artist paper. White charcoal and Prismacolor pencils were used for the majority of this card. Some pastel pencils in white, grey and blue provided the snow. Pan pastels in blue and purple created the sky. Some white gel pen for some simple snowflakes added the final touch. Cheers!

Happy Saturday afternoon, crafters! Pegasus and his little fairy friend are playing in the clouds today to provide a full and fancy card. I love the way mixed media turns out; the layers are just so much fun. Thank you inkybliss for the inspiration. The background is a combination of Kitsch Flamingo Oxide Spray, Kitsch Flamingo Ink spray and Shaded Lilac Ink Spray. The cloud the fairy is sitting on is from Hero Arts and stamped in VersaClair Purple Delight. The fairy and Pegasus are stamped in Versamark Onyx Black Ink. The sun rays are Tim Holtz’s stencil using Worn Lipstick. The stars are a stencil from Kindred stamps used with Milled Lavendar. Some pink, purple and white pastels were used to aid with the blending. Spectrum Noir clear glitter was used on the fairy wings. White and pink gel pens added some detail to the black images. Posca pens in purple and pink added some fine background details. Some final accents were added with a Zig glue pen Distressed Oxide Clear Rock Glitter.

Inspired by an Artist. How much fun is this challenge?! Oh dearie me…..so many artists to choose from. But, one stands out…. George Rodrigue and his Blue Dog, Tiffany. What better dog to use than one from Tim Holtz. The dog is stamped in Ink on 3 disappearing ink and colored in copic markers (B24, B26,B29,Y13,N100,C7); he is then die cut and mounted on the background with foam tape. The background was stamped with a Hero Arts cloud stamp using Worn Lipstick and Versamark ink to allow clear embossing. Then a little bit of Tumbled Glass ink over the clouds. The bottom third is Broken China along with Blueprint Sketch. A little yellow gel pen halo around the bottom half of Tiffany to add some detail. And a frame in pink embossed with paw prints.

Having a thankful sort of day today, crafters. I saw the current Color throwdown challenge and here is my creation. I truly love the way mixed media pieces look; I love the layered goodness of them. The thankful background is acrylic paints in fuchsia and turquoise from my stash; the turquoise is a sponged gel plate transfer. Tim Holtz adds the worded background through his tissue paper and stamps. The plaid is a black and white washi tape. The white hearts and sentiment are Cricut access files.

Happy Back to Work Tuesday, crafters! The Lawnfawnatics have the most fun challenge, currently: Favorite Destination. Of Course, DISNEYWORLD!!! But, to be more specific, the Boo To You Parade at the Not So Scary Halloween Party in Magic Kingdom at Disneyworld.👻 The base to this card is the Magic Iris. The circle of the Iris is done like the introductory sign/banner to the parade. The headless horseman is a combination of stamps from: Hay There, Bicycle Built for You and Spooktacular. Maleficent is from Critters Ever After. The background trees are from the Leafy Tree Backdrop. My nod to the Hitchhicking Ghosts are provided by the Scalloped Treat Box Haunted House Add-On. The add on gave the card the bats and Zachy Binx (he is hiding behind the lever to the Iris on the right). The background is cut with Lawnfawn dies. Clearly, the background has inkygoodness from Distressed Ink Wilted Violet, Tumbled Glass and Black Soot.

Good morning, Sunday crafters! I have a little inky fun to start your day. This card is almost entirely Tim Holtz, with just a hint of Lavinia Stamps. The inspiration for this card started with the colors: black, grey, yellow. I tried something new and used black watercolor paper as my base. My background is a gel print using Lavinia Stamps’ stencil Elegance with yellow and black acrylic paint with my gel plate. The center image is black water color that was sprayed with Distressed Oxide sprays in Hicory Smoke and Mustard Seed with a little gold spray (made with water and gold Perfect Pearls). The bird is heat embossed using Versamark Onxy black ink and Black Cherry Emerald Creek embossing powder. The remaining stamps are just black ink; they look more grey, probably because of the emobssing. I used the Mustard Seed spray as water color and colored the wings of the bird. I may go back with some gauche paint to make the wings stand out more? Thoughts on that? I am loving mixed media these days.

TFIF, crafters! So green and cats seem to be my mood this week. 😊 The current challenge over at CAS on Friday is green. I loved the use of watercolors and cotton balls K Werner did about a week ago. I don’t have watercolor pens; but, I do have Distressed Spray Stain. I sprayed the stain on a glass mat and picked it up with the cotton balls. My cat is from Lavinia stamps and the sentiment is from a Hero Arts set. A little framing with some green card stock from the stash, and viola. For me, this is CAS.
