O’ Christmas Tree

“How lovely are your branches!” This clean and simple card was inspired by the Double “D” Challenge, pine trees/pine cones. Although the color scheme is simple, grey, red and white, I was trying to achieve a tailored look for this card. I think that goal was achieved. The stamp is from a Gina K stamp set. The ink is grey fog from Gina K and Versafine Onyx Black ink for the sentiment. Can you believe it is only 47 more days to Christmas.?

Have a Merry Sunday, y’all!

Never Fear….Coffe is Here

Calling all coffee lovers!! The card reads “never Fear (outside) coffee is here(inside)”. The coffee loving critters from the Rabbit Hole Designs are just too adorable. A cat enjoying his morning coffee as he walks down the hall. This was created with a single stamp and some Copic coloring. The sentiment comes from MayMayMadeIt’s Chin Up stamped with Versafine embossing ink and Ranger’s White embossing powder. I hope you enjoy!

Cheers, y’all!

Let’s Match

SSS’s Wednsday challenge is to match a card to an envelope. I love, love, love matching my envelopes to my cards. I do this often, just one more type of craft. The card is made with twi SSS dies. The flower die is cut twice and the white outline of one flower was undisturbed; the other flower was colored with Distressed Oxides. Simple layering of the two flowers created the focal point. The background is a gelpressed graphic made from layers of acrylic paint. I found a paper that coordinated well with the colors to make my envelope.

Enjoy envelope art, y’all!

Unicorns For Hire

Papercrafting from DD14 for this year’s Halloween! DD14 loves crafts and things that she can build. She was inspired by the horseless herse in front of the Haunted Mansion in Disneyworld. DD14 saw these unicorns on sale in a local store and thought that the herse pattern on Cricut would be perfect for them to pull. What a spectacular job on her unicron pulled herse. It sits on our credenza in our entry hallway.

Happy Halloween, y’all!

Werewolf

Happy early Halloween! Recently, I have put card making on hold and have been working more on Halloween decorations. When I’m not making cards, I love to make decorations for my house. I saw this werewolf on the Cricut design space and just had to make it. It’s dimensions are just short of 11×17 inches. The cut layers in this were easy to put together. My challenge was to create the scene I wanted with only white and black cardstock. So I created the colored paper using Distressed Ink and a blending tool. Overall, I think this turned out.

Happy howls, y’all!

Lots of Latte

Lots of latte to everyone this Thursday morning! I’ve created a CAS, single-layer card to start the day. The stamps are from Hero Arts and the embossing powders are from Emerald Creek. Emerald Creek’s products are fantastic! I used the Aroma-Chocolate Dream for the cup, giving the card a chocolate smell. Way too fun!

Have a latte fun today, y’all!

Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice

DD14 has been working on her cat’s Halloween costume this year. She crocheted him a Beetlejuice outfit. She did the jacket, tie and wig. Amazingly enough, there are no cat clothing patterns on Ravelry, so she improvised her own pattern. Well done girl!! She noticed that “anything” (including crafts) goes for the 2Crafty Critter Crazies monthly challenge and is entering her creation this month.

Welcome, Foolish Mortals

Welcome in foolish mortals to my haunted abode this Halloween. Today I greet happy haunts in my craft room. I love how this two toned card turned out. The background is a die from Hero Arts November 2019 kit. I drew the pumpkins in honor of Inktober. The spiders, skeleton hand, bat and webs are from Cricuit Access. All the coloring is Copic Markers: N0,N2,C7,C9,V25,V22,BV23,BV29. Have a crafty weekend!

Beware of Hitchiking Ghosts, y’all!

Friends on Film

Who doesn’t enjoy seeing some cute animals playing in the Autumn foliage? The concept for this card stirred up past Autumn memories, a time spent in rural Wisconsin watching the animals play in the fall leaves from the kitchen window. Ahhhh. Nostalgia!! 😊This mixed media card was inspired by all the Autumn card challenges that have been posted lately. Crafty Cards by Heidi on Instagram had a great influence on the layout. I love following her!! Check her out!. All the stamps and dies are from Lawn Fawn: Snow Day, Winter Fox, Joy to the Woods, Oh Gnome!, Magic Iris Camera Add-on, and Magic Iriis Camera Pull-tab Add-on. The trees were stamped in Distressed Oxide. Iced Spruce and Speckled Egg. The other images were stamped with Memento Black ink and some simple Copic Coloring.

Have a crafty week, y’all!
