“Hand me my purse, will you, darling?…

A girl can’t read that sort of thing… with… without her lipstick.”

You can never go wrong with a classic. Thank you Audrey Hepburn and Kindred Stamps. This is quite a simple card. The hard part was finding the Tiffany’s blue card stock. The stamp is from Kindred Stamps Golden Age and the sentiment if from The Ton’s Timeless Icons Sentiment Set. Some simple stamping and Copic coloring. Miss Golightly’s tiara is silver nuvo drops.

A clean and simple card with a little bit of shimmer for both AAA card challenge #153 and CAS(E) this Sketch #348

Have a Sunday Funday crafting y’all!

If I fits, I sits.

I love all the memes about cats in boxes. So, when I saw this stamp at Simon Says Stamps, I had to have it. The AAA #153 challange inspired the card. The background is ink blending over a musical patterned cardstock. Then I sprayed it with some gold glitter spray for some shimmer (hard to see in this picture). The cat in the box is a single stamp. I usd the stamp twice: once on craft card stock and again on Nina solar white #110 lb cardstock. Simple coloring with copic markers help finish the cat. No coloring was done on the box. I cut the cat out of both cardstocks. Then, I pieced them together. The embossed sentiment is from Lawn Fawn’s Meow You Doing and Ivory embossing powder.

Enjoy a crafting day y’all!

Cute or Traditional?

Definitely CUTE! I think I prefer cute cards because they always make me smile.

This card is actually a challenge from my husband. He requested a tropical Christmas card this year. The background was made with a circle mask, cloud stencil, and Distressed Oxide Tumbled Glass. The palm trees and stockings are an image from Pink and Main’s Deck the Palms. They were colored with copic colors and mounted on foam tape. The embossed sentiment is from Joy Clair’s Penguin Tropical Christmas using Versamark embossing ink and Emerald Creek’s Apple Martini Aroma embossing powder. The Santa and sleigh are from Lawn Fawn’s Ready, Set, Snow and stamped with Versafine Onyx Black Ink. The card stock is Nina Solar White 100lb and Tonic Grass Green Craft Perfect Classic Weave Textured Cardstock.

Although there were quite a few supplies😁, the card does not take long to make. So, quick and cute or clean and simple? What do you think??

Happy Christmas Crafin’ Y’all!

Thank You Beary Much!

What says Thank You better than a Starbucks gift card? This is a quick and cute card. The card base is some cardstock from my stash. I used MFT gift card window and frame dienamics with one of their pouches to hold the gift card. Then I used BB Beary Special Birthday for the set of three balloons. The little bear holding a balloon is from a BB set that is no longer available (and I can’t find the original pouch to give you it’s name. 🤪). The images were colored with some copics and cut out with a Scan and Cut. Then simply mounted with some foam tape.

Happy Weekend Crafting y’all!

Leveled Up

The color palate for this card was inspired by the color throwdown challenge #567. This card was made for a young teenage boy’s birthday. It’s hard to read, but it says “Oh No! You leveled up!”(outside) “Happy Birthday”(inside). I used Lawn Fawn’s Screen Time for the children, controllers and drink.. The scene is a cartoonized version of my girls and their 3 cousins as they play “Super Smash Bros Ultimate”.

Happy Crafting Y’all!

Birthday Cheers

This card was inspired by MFT’s #128 and AAA Birthday’s #6 color challenges. The card itself was very simple to make. I masked a square and blended two Distressed Oxide colors, Pine Needles and Twisted Citron. The penguin is from MFT Penguins in Paradise. Simple copic coloring for the penguin: N3,N5,YR8,YR4,Y08. Nuvo Jewel Drops in Orange Marmelade were used to make the drink a little shiny. A happy birthday sentiment from my stash in orange ink. Some foam tape, and it’s finished.

Happy Hump Day Crafting Y’all!

Quick and Cute

A Quick and Cute card for today!

I asked my daughters about this card; they know about clean and simple cards. They agreed that the background is “busy” and therefore is not clean. I asked them what to call this type of card, as many of the cards I make are similar to this. Their answer was “Quick and Cute”- QAC (quack) for short. YEAH! Now I know what to call my style. 😁

This card was inspired by the As You Like It Challenge. I was to use my favorite paper. My favorite is Tokidoki! I love the Japanese kawaii style and this paper is that. I know kawaii is not commonly used in card making, but I love it! The cupcake stamps are from a set from Craftin’ Desert Divas (sadly closed😪, but still loved💗). Coloring was with copics. The sentiment comes from the Rabbit Hole Designs.

Happy Monday Crafting y’all!

Warm Heart

And the challenges continue. MFT stamps have a color and a layout challenge which I combined. As soon as I saw the layout challenge I knew exactly the type of card to create. I saw a YouTube video by Jennifer McGuire on partial die cutting and figured that the layout challenge was perfect for this technique. The cat is from MFT stamps’ Cute Cats. The scarf and sentiment are from Lawn Fawn’s Snow Day set. The heart speech bubble is from The Rabbit Hole Designs’ set Cattitude. The background is Distressed Oxide blending of: Faded Jeans and Hickory Smoke. After ink blending, I used Distressed Oxide Picket Fence and Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow stencil. I then misted the background with Tattered Angels Misting Spray in Pearl.

Happy Card Challenges Y’all!

Heaven Scent

I’m loving the current CAS challenge. The color palate made me think of this little stamp, perfect for a corner. This could not have been much more of a simple card to make. Two stamps, a few Copic markers, and you are done. Thank you for the inspiration!!
