Curious!

“Who Are You?”…..

Crafters, of course. I am playing along with the Color Throwdown Challenge today. I was originally inspired by a vintage card I found on the internet and thought that this weeks colors would work well. The stamp is from Stamping Bella’s Oddball collection (one I’ve had a while and haven’t used much😁). It was stamped on my background paper in Memento Coffee Ink. My caterpillar and mushroom are colored in Distressed Oxide Inks: Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers, Antique Linen, Gathered Twigs, Bundled Sage and Twisted Citron. His glittery antennae are a gel pen. My background (a new digital paper) was enhanced with a little Vintage Photo. My ground was created with a little help from light green pastels. My sentiment is simple white card stock cut with Cricut and colored with Bundled Sage.

Heaven Scent

Happy Sunday Cardmakers! The card was definitely Heaven Sent. I’ve had a crafty week where something was made every day; and every card was an epic failure. I had fun creating and tried some new things that just did not work. Every have a week like that? LOL. I chose to do quite the feminie card…. Perfume!! My color palate came from MFT’s current color challenge. My stamps came from Heaven Scent by MayMayMadeIt. My background are layers of Speckled Egg Distressed Oxide and Distressed Ink using Tim Holt’s Stencil Dot Fad Layering Stencil. I lifted the background ink off with some water and after the paper dried, I came back with PrismaColored pencils to color my perfume bottle.

Dream On

Good Evening, Dreamers!!! I have been playing with mixed media over here on these hot, humid days down south. And I love me a pony, or….. pegasus. This card is a blend of Lavina Stamps meets Visible Images Stamps. My ink is Distressed Oxide Ink in Mustard Seed, VersaFine Clair Morning Mist and VersaFine Onys Black Ink along with a little splattering of irResistible black glitter ink. My pegasus. and her frame, are highlighted with Distress Glitter Clear Rock Candy. Hard to see, but this card has significant bling.

May your innermost dreams bring you peace and serenity!

Oh Birdie

Welcome back cardmakers! A little birdie says he hopes you feel better. My card is inspired by the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge. My background is a mixed media of Tim Holtz’s Distressed Paints: Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain and Antique Bronze. A layer of embossing was next using Stampers Anonymous Linen with Antique Linen powder. For a little more interest, Summertine VersaFine Clair ink and a word stamp completes the background. My birdie and sentiment were stamped in ground expresso Memento ink. Tim Holtz’s Bird Crazy was brought to life with simple Copic Coloring (Y15,Y35,YR8,YG67,E57).

Pumpkin Head

Happy Humid Monday, Halloween Crafters! The inspiration board at 2 Old Bats Halloween Challenge made me think of Pumpkinhead. My problem is that I can’t draw well and have no Pumpkinhead stamp; so, off to the internet I went. The lovely artists at Twistoon had just what I needed. YEAH!!! 🧡🎃🧡 A simple download and I was set to go. I uploaded the .png to Cricut and added an offset to the image so it would draw and cut like a stamp with coordinating die. The 0.4mm black Cricut pen was used to draw on white cardstock. My creepy friend, from the seedy part of town, was colored with Prismacolor pencils and his offset was colored with E49 Copic Marker. The Spooktacular background is a paper from Whimsy Stamps. Happy Holiday Crafting!!

Hope your night is so happy, it makes you glow from the inside out.

Hello Little Mouse

Welcome Back Card Makers! I have a CAS card today, playing along with the nice people over at AAA Card Challenge. This is perhaps the most simple card I have ever created. The wreath is a die cut from Tonic Studios (Under The Mistletoe Wreath); it was cut twice and simply mounted on the card. My little mousy friend is from Stampendous’ House Mouse. He is stamped with VersaFine Clair Morning Mist and lightly colored with pink pastel pencil. The tag is from Hero Art’s Thanks a Bunch stamped in the same Morning mist ink. A single line was embossed to add a little interest and help follow the sketch.

Time To Relax

Welcome to the weekend, crafters! I was over at the Time Out Challenge and they currently have a photo inspiration, which coincidentally corresponds with the Double D challenge. I love the striped wall in the background and used it for my background inspiration. Some simple masking and use of Distressed Oxides (Peacock Feathers, Spun Sugar, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Picked Raspberry, and Spiced Marmalade) created my stripes. Cricut supplied the die cut and Hero Arts gave me the sentiment and the MaiTai. A MaiTai sounds good right now. In case you need it, here’s the recipe: 1 1/2 oz White rum, 1/2 oz Fresh lime juice, 1/2 oz Orange curaçao, 1/2 oz Orgeat syrup, 3/4 oz Dark rum.

Have a beautiful weekend! Do what makes you smile and happy!!
