I love Fall

Wonderful Wednesday to all you crafters! When I saw the current Color Throwdown callenge this morning, the only thing that came to mind was……fall! So, off to the oxides I go for some ink blending and tone-on-tone stamping. The “I” and “FALL” were provided by my Cricut machine. Enjoy!

Picnic Time

It’s Monday, crafters! Here is a cute little slimline card my daughter created for the current lawnfawnatics challenge. The background is some stencil work done with Distressed Oxides. For her scene she used the following Lawn Fawn sets: mushroom house die,Screen Time, Crazy Antics, Bicycle buildt for you, Gleeful Gardens, and Den Sweet Den. Hope you enjoy! Have a sunny day!

Whimsical Wishes

Whimsical wishes, crafters! I hope everyone had an enjoyable Sunday crafting!? I found a new Youtuber by the name of Inkybliss Creations and have been fascinated by her use of Lavinia stamps. Check her out!! I’ve been wanting to make a card similar to her style; however, I don’t have many Lavina stamps and I don’t have her artistic flair. So, when I saw the new AAA CAS challenge, I knew a combination of her style and this challenge would be perfect for me!! Happy Day! Honestly, I used stamps and inks that I had on had to create this card. LOTS of layers. I little embellishment with gold Perfect Pearls and some Posca pens. This was so much fun to make. Hopefully I will be brave enough to try something bigger next.

Celebrate Spring

Welcome weekend crafters! I was inspired by the Fusion challenge this morning to make a card celebrating Spring. The light wood background from the photo was translated to a 3D embossing woodgrain folder. The flowers (Hero Arts) are in some grey pots and there are three elements lined up in a row, a nod to the three-paneled photostrip. Enjoy your weekend!!

TGIF!!!!

TGIF, crafters! Oh my . . . . what a week! This Mother’s Day Card was inspired by the good people over at The Color Throwdown Challenge and As You Like It Challenge. Yep, I combined the two challenges!! Hmmm, embossing OR stencils???? Dearie me, I could NOT choose…. I love them both equally. My background is from Newton’s Nook Bokeh stencil using Distressed Oxides and Snowflake texture paste. The embossing (although it takes second string) is the sentiment from The Ton in Ranger white embossing powder. Truthfully, I actually emboss more than I stencil; but, mostly sentiments.😊 The bunny basket is actually ephemera from ??Newton’s Nook?? that was gifted to me on my last order; although, I had to change of few of the colors with Prismacolor pencils for the challenge.

Aloha Newton

Not quite Thirsty Thursday yet, crafters….. Decided to play with some Copic markers today. A little beach scene featuring Newton. The dream bubbles and fish were supplied by Lawn Fawn and embossed with white embossing powder. Copics used: E53,E55,E57,W5,W7, Y32,YR24,YR21,YG01,YG06,YG17,YG67,R21,B000,B02,B12,B24,B37,B39,R00,YO,VO, BG49, BG45.

Pandtastic!

Welcome Wednesday, crafters and card makers!! I am loving the color challenge over at The Paper Players this week. I created a fun and simple background with some masking tape and oxide inks. These little pandas from AI Pand-tastic set were just the perfect group for this card. My favorite part was the cheeks, a little bit of baby oil and colored pencil provided the rosy charm. Enjoy!!

Who’s a Good Boy?

Good evening dog lovers? Who was good person today? LOL This card was made for an especially kind veterinarian. I went to my stash looking for dog stamps to find Tim Holt’s Crazy Dogs. I love his crazy animal stamps, they are just too adorable. Lawn Fawn’s rectangles helped die cut and emboss. A little ink blending with Ranger’s Aquamarine Archival ink gave the simple background I was looking for. Given the simplicity of the card, I wanted the envelope to have more color. My goal was for the card to have a “tailored” look with just a hint of whimsy. Do you think I was successful? Let me know.

Trick or Treat

Hello, Crafters! I am starting this week with a little Halloween card inspired by Two Old Bats Halloween challenge; I love the colors on the inspiration board this month. I paired a Tim Holtz stamp set(Haloween Cutouts) with a Visible Image set(Into the woods).. I used Bristol smooth cardstock as I find Distressed Oxides to blend the best on this paper. The oxides I used were: Pine Needles, Cracked Pistachio, Twisted Citron, Squeezed Lemonade, Fossilized Amber, Carved Pumpkin, Hickory Smoke, Black Soot, and Tumbled Glass. The moon is White Gesso that I dried with an embossing gun to get it to bubble to create the moon’s craters. Some details were added with gold, white and orange gel pens along with some white and grey pastel pencils.

Halloween is an opportunity to be really creative!

A Little Unicorn Magic

I made this card for a very special person in my world. She has show a tremendous amount of kindness and compassion to my family that I had to make something for her. This was the result. I used BB Magical Unicorns, Copic Colors and Distressed Oxide. Very simple, but so much fun to make.
