Enjoy the Ride

Happy Monday crafters!! I saw the challenges last week at CAS(E) this Sketch! and As You Like it Card Challenge and just had to combine the two. My favorite animals are horses and cats; it is truly a tie for me in regards to which I love most. I decided to make it a horse card this time as a friend of mine recently bought a new horse and I thought it would be nice to send her a congratulations card. Here is what was used. The stripe is taped off with masking tape and some simple ink blending with distressed oxide in tea dye, tumbled glass and ground expresso. The horse and jump are from Clearly Besotted’s Ewe are Awesome and Magical Plushies. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn’s Bicycle Built for Two.

Enjoy your week y’all!

Kiki’s Delivery Service

Jiji stopping by to say hello

Hard to believe it’s been 2 weeks! EECK! I have been making cards in my absence; however, none turned out like I wanted!! Anyone ever have this problem?? Any how, I started this card almost two weeks ago. The concept of this card was inspired by a card I saw on Stamping Bella’s Sistahood’s facebook page. When I saw the card by jennydixbella, I thought that her card layout and the current Fusion Card Challenge were a perfect pair. Just a little bit of color and theme changing was all that was needed. To make the card, all of the layers were cut out with Lawn Fawn’s die cuts, except for the “window” which is a MFT peekaboo die. The sentiment was stamped in Versafine Onxy black ink and embossed with Emerald Creek’s Black Cherry embossing powder. The patterned cat paper is some origami paper based on the movie Kiki’s Delivery Service. The card is then easily assembled with some Art Glitter glue. Although simple to make, it took me some time to get the layout the way I liked it.

Enjoy, and happy crafting y’all!

Monday vs. Friday

TGIM (Monday)
TGIF

A new day and a new challenge. The nice people over at Less Is More challenge are challenging crafters to a less is more (tiny and few) challenge. It made me think of coffee. Why? Hard to say. This first card (TGIM) has 2 little coffee cups (from my stash) and the coffee chemical compound by Rabbit Hole Designs. Rabbit Hole Designs also did the sentiment for this card. Since the sentiment mentioned glitter, I had to add some. The coffee compound is glittered in Emerald Creek’s Allure Iceberg. The colors for this card came from MFT’s color challange. The TGIF card is a simple stamp using Ink on 3 fading ink and Clearly Besotted’s Drink and Be Merry Set. I used the martini glass and thought of a lemon drop martini. The sentiment is from a retired Crafting Desert Divas set. Happy Crafting!!

Thank God it’s Sunday, Y’all!

Off the Edge

An “Off the Edge” challenge on the AAAcards facebook page this weekend. This card is fairly simple. SSS background was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink. A SSS die cut was used for the flower. The Gemini hot foil was used to foil the flower and and the sentiment. Then just some simple gluing and it was complete. I had been looking for a way to use the hot foil machine; I just received it as a late Christmas gift. I’m loving it! Tremendous fun!!!

Have a Wonderful Weekend, Y’all!

In the woods with Rosie & Bernie

Happy Weekend Crafting Everyone! I am starting out the weekend with Rosie and Bernie from Stamping Bella. They are stamped on Copic paper with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Copic coloring was used for both Rosie and Bernie. The dress on Rosie is washi tape from my stash. Bernie’s horn is painted with white gold watercolor. The background is a stencil from Hero Arts with a little help from Tim Holtz’s distressed oxides (Hickory Smoke, Picket Fence, Black Soot, Candied Apple). Unfortunately, the gradation of the stencil was hard for me to capture in the photo. 🙄 Although not a CAS card, the card was fairly simple to make. Thank you to the people at the color throw down challenge #578 and the Case this Sketch for the inspiration!

TGIF Y’all!

Smell the Flowers

Thank you for the inspiration Fusion Card Challenge!! I love the cute little squirrel!!! When I first saw this challenge, I couldn’t help but think of the Mischievous Mole set by Clearly Besotted. I stamped the mole on some craft card stock with Memento black ink and colored him with Copic’s E59,E57,E55, Y08,Y21,G07, and G09. MFT’s radiating rays and some distressed oxide provided the background, which I then cut with a die from Spellbinders. The sentiment is from the Mischievous Mole set embossed with Just Java Aroma Embossing Powder by Emerald Creek. I hope you like it. 😁

Enjoy a crafty challenge today, y’all!

Dream Big Dreams

This cutie was inspired from the CAS(e) this sketch challenge #356. I can’t say the card is CAS, but it does follow the sketch. I love unicorns and I found this one in a set by Darcie called Hop on Unicorn. The rainbow is from MFT’s Magical Unicorn. Copic colors used for the coloring were: R00,RV00,G0,B00,V00,Y00.. The background is Distressed Oxide stenciling using Faded Jeans, Twisted Citron, Lucky Clover and a cloud stencil by MFT. A few small die cuts provided the “rain”. The sentiment is from Hello Bluebird’s Unicorn Tales embossed using using Versafine Onxy Black ink and Black Cherry Aroma embossing powder by Emerald Creek. Then, there was LOTS of glitter!! Glitter spray, clear Spectrum Noir glitter pen, silver Wink of Stella, and some Nuvo jewel drops.

My favorite part was using the embossing powder. I cannot say enough good things about Emerald Creek’s products!. This sentiment is quite fine and I was worried that the embossing powder would not cover the thin areas of ink. So, I decided to use the black ink instead of Versamark embossing ink. The powder stuck to every area, even the delicate areas. When heating, there is little to no warping of the paper as the powder melts quickly. What a joy to work with.

💜💜💜 Have a crafy day y’all! 💜💜💜

Just skatin’ by

….to leave a little sparkle wherever you go.

A clean and simple card to start the week. The fairy and pond are stamped with Ink on 3 fadeout ink to allow for some no line coloring and embossing. The embossing on the wings, snowflakes and pond was done with a Versamark ink and some holographic embossing powder by Ranger. The sentiment was stamped with Distressed Oxide Tattered Rose. A little white gel pen for the furry trim completes the card.

Birthday Bellini

Cheers and Happy Birthday to all the January Birthdays! Who wouldn’t love to be on the beach sipping a Peach Bellini in the warm summer sun? This card was fairly straight forward to make. It is MFT’s stamp Penguins in Paradise. Some Memento Black Ink, Xpress it Blending card stock and some masking. The rest is a lot of Copic coloring and some white Gelly Roll pen details.

Cheers Y’all!
