“Butterflies are flowers with wings.”

It’s time for another month and another color challenge at the Colorful Options Challenge. This month, can you guess? The color is GREEN!

My Colorful Options cards involved lots of inky fun. I was inspired by a Tim Holtz technique video using stencils with spray stains. The sprays used with the stencil were Distressed Inks-Peeled Paint and Rustic Wilderness with a little Bubbling Cauldron to add some shine and shimmer. The birthday card’s background had an initial layer of Distressed Oxide in Peeled Paint and Shabby Shutters prior to stenciling. Adding color to the butterflies was done by the addition of ink to the embossing folder.
To check out the challenge, just click on the photo above. Our color this month is green… ANY green. Remember, the color does NOT need to be monochromatic; just the primary color needs to be a shade of green. If you do not like green, a card with a rainbow of colors is also welcome. Hope to see everyone’s makes soon! Cheers! Makira
Beautiful butterfly cards, so pretty with the distress sprays, I think I need to purchase some myself, what a great 3D embossing folder too, it all came together so beautifully!!

The Thinlit embossing folder is being discontinued. 😦 I think they are still available at scrapbook.com; that’s where I bought mine. Cheers, Makira

Well, it’s hard not to be an enabler. Eden and I tend to enable each other. LOL!
