Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice

Good morning, crafters! I’m thrilled to unveil with you my first success in creating an “Outside The Box” card using a stamp set from The Sassy Club Stamps.

The coloring was kept simple and straightforward using YG Copics and C1, C3, C5, C7 Copics. To create the bring dimension to the inside supports, I used Lawn Fawn’s Hill die cuts. The moon embellishment was cut using a circle die from my stash and colored with Copics, using Lawn Fawn’s moon stencil. Enjoy.

Don’t Forget to Dream

Good evening everyone, I hope you’re all having a wonderful Sunday! I wanted to share a CAS card that I made earlier today while participating in Craft Roulette. It was my first opportunity to play along this weekend. For this project, I used Tim Holtz’s Grunge stamp to create some “blotches” on Arteza Watercolor paper using Versamark Onyx Black Ink. Next, I embossed Visible Image’s stamp “Imagine Dream Inspire” with Versamark ink and Emerald Creek’s Embossing Powder in Ancient Amber. Afterwards, I drew a flower using a 0.2 fineliner and colored it with Distress Crayon in Wilted Violet and Dusty Concord. To finish off the card, I added a black border with a multiliner and framed it with coordinating purple. Enjoy!

A Holiday Note

Today, I made another CAS card to celebrate Christmas. The background was created using stamping foam and a fern embossing folder, resulting in a beautifully inked image. For this card, I used a stamp set from Newton’s Nook and added simple Copic coloring. Wishing everyone a Merry Monday!

Feline Batty!

Hey there, pals! I recently stumbled upon a charming feline at Newton’s Nook. I’ve owned this stamp for quite some time and was ecstatic to finally put it to use. Take a moment to examine the background, which was crafted using a foam stamp from the 3D skull embossing folder. A bit of basic Copic coloring brings the main image to life, along with a couple of uncomplicated sentiments. Enjoy!

Purrr, A Gift Fur You!

Good evening, dear friends! What an irresistible feline I stumbled upon at Twist Toon’s today. I simply couldn’t resist bringing her home. This kitty is the epitome of generosity; her affectionate nature is heartwarming. She even came bearing a Christmas present for her little companion.

Here’s the process I used for this slightly twisted Christmas card. First, I downloaded the charming image from Twist Toon and transferred it to Cricut. With the help of a Copic fine liner in the machine, I had it beautifully sketch the image on Copic paper. Once the drawing was complete, I lovingly colored it with Copics and carefully cut it out using the Scan and Cut tool. As for the background, it’s a coloring image I acquired from an Etsy store some time ago, though regrettably, the name escapes my memory. To achieve a touch of realistic messiness that complements the scruffy appearance of our main kitty, I employed Paint 3D for coloring. Lastly, I adorned the creation with layered frames, crafting it into a splendid Christmas card. I hope you enjoy this heartfelt creation!

Where’s Alice?

Hello everyone, and happy Saturday! I wanted to share my entry for this week’s Craft Roulette Challenge. The challenge required us to use 3 tags, incorporate masking techniques, use rose garden colors, and include a May element. I decided to use Miss Ink Stamps’ Alice in Wonderland series and colored the sky with distress oxide inks. For the rest of the design, I used Copics and Ink on 3 ink to create a hand-drawn look. To complete the project, I mounted the three tags on a mini-slimline, accordion-folded base. I hope you like it!

Flowering Field

Happy Saturday, everyone! I have another fun-fold card for you today. Can’t you just picture this little blue bird in the middle of a flowering field? This was actually not hard to make once I decided on a layout.

Supplies used:

  • Simple Stories Farmhouse Summer paper pack
  • Tim Holtz Ideology Christmas 2021 (pink woodgrain)
  • Stampersanonymous/Sizzix Crazy Birds & Crazy Things stamps/dies.
  • Memento Black Ink
  • Copic markers ( Y18,BG70,BG98, B000, R20, R46, YG61,YG63)
  • Sewing Machine
  • Edge die from Gemini

Cut your paper to 12″x6″, score, and cut the bottom border with the edge die. Stitch the bottom of the card with a zig-zag stitch and white thread. Stamp and color your bird and flowers. Use sentiments from the paper pack to create a “floor” for the bird to stand on. Add a small strip of pink wood grain paper below the sentiment strip. Add the bird & flowers. And…. you are ALL done. Enjoy!

Poppy Field

Happy weekend, crafters! I was playing along last night with Craft Roulette and here is my card following the four parameters: matchbook, flowering field, bird, wood grain. This was actually a fast & easy card to make. I used Tim Holtz collage paper and adhered it to some white card stock using Distress collage medium. I added some strips of washi tape for interest. I embossed a matching red paper frame with a wood embossing folder and mounted everything to a pink card frame scored to allow the small matchbook “lip” on the bottom. Stay creative!

Science of Magic

Happy Tuesday, everyone. My first duch door card. Woah! Yes, it was one of the parameters from Craft Roulette last Friday. The background paper is from Tim Holtz’s Abandoned 8×8 pad. The inky background was down with watercolor paper 120lb Arteza with Distress Oxide Spray in Crackling Campfire, Black Soot, and Mustard Seed. The background was embellished with numbers using Ranger’s transparent matte texture paste, a stencil, and a spider web from Stampersanonymous’ Halloween cutouts (CMS139). The witch, cauldron, and webs were cut using black cardstock, and Tim Holtz Sizzix dies (Frightful Things, Mini Halloween Things, Toil and Trouble). Gold paint was added to the witch to make her glow. My sentiment came from the book The Science Behind Harry Potter.  Enjoy!

A Little Gaming, Anyone?

Happy Tuesday, Everyone! I do like to play online games a bit every week. This creation is a take on Randy Jade from the game Dialtown. The pattern is my own & I used thread from my stash. Randy’s head is an old Nokia cell phone; all the characters in the game have phones for heads. Randy has had bad luck, was evicted from his apartment, and now lives in the dumpster.

As it is the beginning of May, there is a new challenge at the Colorful Options Challenge. A Little Gaming, Anyone serves as my color of the moth contribution.

Visit the Colorful Options Challenge and check out the amazing creations from the talented Design Team. You have until Sunday, May 28th, 11:59pm US CST time…5:59am(Monday May 29th) UK time…6:59am(Monday May 29th) CET to join in with the chance to win a Lawn Fawn Stamp & Die Set.
