Shopping, anyone?

Happy weekend, everyone!

Last week, I participated in Craft Roulette and I’m excited to share my creation. The guidelines were to incorporate a see-through element (using a window), fashion (with a shopper and store), rustic garden colors (such as those found in a rose garden), and the shape of an irregular hexagon (when the envelope is unfolded).

I took inspiration from the classic movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s for the design. The images displayed in the windows were created digitally by me using Canva. I used an old May May Made It stamp of a shopper, which I modified by removing her Santa hat and adding white gloves. The awnings were from a previous Hero Arts stamp set that I adapted using a partial die-cut technique to make them smaller, and I drew in the “pleats.”

Challenges entered: Craft Roulette, SSS Wednesday Challenge, Tic Tac Toe Challenge (die cut, square-boxes, free-envelope)

Pearls are Always Appropriate

Hello everyone, and happy Thursday! I wanted to share my entry for this week’s Craft Roulette Challenge. The challenge required us to use something see-through; rustic garden colors (rose), fashion and a hexagon.. I decided to use the Ton’s stamp and embossed the dress in a clear and pale pink. My wood element has a hexagonal pattern. I added a few pink tinted Tim Holtz flowers, pearls and tule. I hope you like it!

Challenges entered: Craft Roulette, Tic Tac Toe Chalenge(nature, pink, circle), SSS Wednesday Challenge

The Secret Lives of Cats

Happy Summer, Everyone!

So, check out my playful kitties! It’s what I imagine my furry friends do while I sleep. 😁 I used this awesome stamp set called Lawn Fawn’s Purrfectly Wicked. I didn’t go too crazy with the coloring—kept it nice and simple with my trusty Copics. For the border and the paw-printed wallpaper, I dug into my stash, pulled out my Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Ink, and paired it with this sweet stencil. Pretty neat, right?

This is my entry for the Colorful Options Challenge, serving up some serious design team vibes; June’s color of the month is peach. But that’s not all! Inspired by the awesome ride “The Secret Lives of Pets,” this creation also doubles as a contribution to Park Hopping My Happy Place. Talk about a two-for-one special!

Sugar Rush, Anyone?

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a pleasant Thursday! Recently, I designed a new card inspired by the Honeydukes Candy Shop at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I drew inspiration from the shop’s delightful candies and color scheme to create a fun and vibrant layout. Although the stamp and sentiment are from a retired set from Craftin’ Desert Divas (which has unfortunately closed), they fit perfectly with the theme. The little girl on the card reminds me of the playful characters from Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph movie. I chose to keep the Copic coloring simple by only using two shades of each color for shading. To add texture to the white paper in the background, I used an embossing folder from Michaels that was purchased many years ago. I also created a unique design for the cut-outs background using Cricut Design Space, while the striped pink paper came from my personal stash.

As it is the beginning of May, there is a new challenge at Park Hopping My Happy Place. “Sugar Rush, Anyone?” is my Designer Spotlight contribution.

A Spark Of Inspiration

Hi everyone! Welcome to another month on the Park Hopping My Happy Place Challenge. Thank you for participating in last month’s challenge. We would be delighted if you could join us this month as well.

This card was inspired by Figment at Epcot and the Beastly Kingdom at Animal Kingdom, located in Orlando, FL, USA. Despite the fact that the Beastly Kingdom was never constructed, there are still numerous reminders of the imaginary land scattered throughout the park.

As always, please keep in mind that our pictures are intended to inspire your creativity. We enthusiastically invite entries inspired by any theme park, no matter where it is located in the world. We can’t wait to see the incredible creations you’ll bring to life!
